Dewalt 12v xtreme 3/8” impact wrench dcf902 review

I am a big fan of 12v tools, doesn’t matter the brand, I love 12v stuff. Light, compact and yet still very powerful. Dewalt now offers some impact wrenches in the 12v line like this 3/8” DCF902 Impact wrench. Lets check it out!

Dewalt has been killing it with tool lighting, I am a big fan of the ring lighting on these tools, it' not only lights up what you are working on but everything around it as well.

One my favorite things about this impact is how well it fits in my hand, the grip feels just right and the tool is nice and compact to use often without fatigue. I find this to be a huge advantage over the M12 line as the battery goes up into the handle, making the handle far to large in my opinion. Dewalt has comfort nailed.

Dewalt is killing it with the 12v Xtreme line and I really like this tool, I hope we will see a beefer model in the future with even more power, but for most tasks this is a fantastic tool to have in your tool chest. Don’t expect it to take off tires, but I can take off a good amount of the bolts you need it to. This tool is always nearby, well worth it!

The Dewalt in action (above) driving a 3 1/2” lag bolt into a 2x4.

3 modes is pretty standard for most impact wrenches, I personally like seeing a bolt removal removal option to give you greater control with the tool.
