We had a chance to look at the Lowes $99 Skill Power Core 12 volt set. Let's check it out!
Brushless Drill
This drill has 18 speed settings including drill mode. Standard speed settings 1 and 2,low and high respectfully. Decent forward light for lighting your work. Includes nice side ridges on the chuck. Also has 350 inch pounds of torque. Some critics, I wish the chuck was sturdier and was a little shorter overall.
Still a great compact drill for Skill.
12 Volt Light
Features include a high low setting. Able to go up to 400 lumens. Can run up to 12 hours with one of the 2.0 AH batteries included in the set. I really like the 120 degree pivoting head . It's perfect for setting down and lighting up your workspace.
Portable Speaker
Features bluetooth,usb and aux connectivity. Phone cradle molded to the top. Also able to connect via bluetooth from 100 feet away. I appreciate how well built and sturdy this speaker is made. Great compact speaker.
Impact Driver.
Includes a high and low speed. Also has a nice full circle bright hallo light. The impact provides 1100 inch pounds of torque. I appreciate how well balanced this tool is when you use it.
Multi tool
Interesting multi tool. Features a unique front halo light.
Also includes speed auto sensing. Meaning that it automatically adjusts speed based on your project. In my opinion this multi tool is a little long for 12 volt. On the bright side you have a better grip, enabling you to cut thicker material.
2Ah Batteries
Finally the batteries. These two batteries are one of my favorite things included with this set. They include easy display power indicators. Also designed with a covered usb port to charge your devices on the go. I've always been a big fan of slide packs in general. Perfect for setting your tools down flat without the worry of falling over.
Conclusion
Overall Skill has provided a nice inclusive tool set. I would highly recommend it if you can pick up this deal for $99. Perfect for a compact set you can take on the go. Definitely a finessed 12 volt tool line.
