Milwaukee M12 Inflator review

Many power tool brands have their own inflator. The M12 inflator is Milwaukee's entry into the category.  Model #2475-20

I personally have owned and used this inflator for about two years. So far, I have topped off my trucks tires numerous times without incident. Its compact design makes it great to store in your garage or even in your truck for easy access and use.

Quick Specs

  • Fastest Cordless Tire Inflator: Top-off a car tire in under 1 minutes. (28 - 35 PSI)

  • Inflates car, LT truck, and compact equipment tires.

  • REDLINK Intelligence: TrueFill Auto Shut-off technology increases accuracy, protects from over-temp and over-fill.

  • High efficiency pump and motor for true 120 PSI capability.

  • Illuminated digital gauge with target and current pressure reading.

  • Top off a car tire in under 1 minutes 28-35 psi, fills a LT truck tire in under 4 minutes 30-45 psi.

  • Compact, portable, and easy-to-store in any car or truck.

  • Weather and impact resistant with a reinforced cage.

  • Anti-vibration feet for no tool movement while running.

  • 3-year warranty.

Testing

I deflated my truck tire which has a Max load of 2679 Lbs. or 44 Psi down to puncture flat and filled it to safe pressure. It took the Inflator with a fully charged 6-amp hour battery 10 minutes and 35 seconds to fill the tire.

Pros

  • Small and compact

  • Easy to read digital screen

  • Battery life indicator on screen

  • Fills to an exact Psi, no guesswork

  • Decent length hose compared to other brands

  • Light weight

  • Attachments included to fill bike tires and other inflatables

Cons

  • Only available in the M12 line

  • Drains Batteries fairly quickly

  • Slower fill rate then most air compressors

  • Starts to get hot if used to do more than top off more than one tire

  • Hard to remove batteries from tool's cavity

  • No other power options, only runs on M12 batteries

Conclusion

The Milwaukee M12 inflator is a great addition to the M12 line. I love how lightweight and useful it is. I would recommend it for anyone's roadside kit to top up your tires to safe pressures. If you do keep it in your truck, have multiple M12 batteries on hand in order to not run out of power while filling. I do wish Milwaukee had an 18-volt version of this, but the 12 volt still gets the job done.
